COMMON DENOMINATOR

INTEGRATION HAS EMERGED AS A DEFINING THEME IN MY LIFE, BOTH PERSONALLY AND INTELLECTUALLY. INTERNALLY, I HAVE BEEN WORKING TO BRING TOGETHER THE FRAGMENTS OF MY UPBRINGING, THINKING, AND EXPERIENCES INTO A COHERENT WHOLE. THIS JOURNEY HAS BEEN ABOUT ALIGNING DISPARATE PIECES TO CREATE A SENSE OF UNITY WITHIN MYSELF.

EXTERNALLY, I FIND MYSELF DRAWN TO THE INTEGRATION OF PEOPLE, RELATIONSHIPS, AND DISCIPLINES. I CAN’T HELP BUT SEE POTENTIAL IN CONNECTIONS THAT OTHERS MIGHT MISS. THIS INCLINATION TO SYNTHESISE AND BRIDGE GAPS FEELS LIKE A NATURAL EXTENSION OF HOW I THINK AND INTERACT WITH THE WORLD.

WHILE THE IDEA OF A GRAND “META-INTEGRATION,” SIMILAR TO INTEGRAL THEORY, IS FASCINATING, IT ALSO FEELS OVERWHELMING IN SCALE. RATHER THAN ATTEMPTING TO TACKLE EVERYTHING, I FIND CLARITY IN FOCUSING ON AESTHETIC INTEGRATION. THIS IS A DOMAIN WHERE MY SKILLS ARE PARTICULARLY SUITED—WHERE I CAN EXPLORE THE INTERSECTION OF FORM, FUNCTION, AND MEANING TO CREATE SOMETHING MORE COHESIVE AND RESONANT.
