THE FULCRUM

THE FULCRUM

DEFAULT-AMF-P[F]A IS A TEXTILE-BASED INTERFACE UNIT DESIGNED TO SERVE AS AN ORIENTATION MODULE FOR THE CODE-SWITCH FRAMEWORK. THIS PROJECT UTILIZES A MINIMALIST BLACK AND WHITE GRAPHIC SYSTEM, DESIGNATED "THE FULCRUM," TO FUNCTION AS AN INITIAL INTERFACE BETWEEN CODE-SWITCH PHILOSOPHIES AND EARTHLY POPULATIONS.

DERIVED FROM EARTH CONCEPTS OF "YIN" AND "YANG," THE GRAPHIC REPRESENTS THE INTERDEPENDENCE OF OPPOSING FORCES SUCH AS LIGHT AND DARK, ORDER AND CHAOS, AND ACTION AND STASIS. DEPLOYED ON A STANDARDIZED TEXTILE UNIT (COMMONLY REFERRED TO AS A "T-SHIRT"), THE ARTIFACT SERVES AS A MEDIUM FOR BOTH VISUAL TRANSMISSION AND CONCEPTUAL INQUIRY.

THE PROJECT COLLECTS DATA ON HUMAN RECEPTION, SYMBOL RECOGNITION EFFICIENCY, AND CULTURAL CONTEXTUALIZATION, POSITIONING THE T-SHIRT AS A DUAL-PURPOSE ARTIFACT: A FUNCTIONAL GARMENT AND A SYMBOLIC ENTRY POINT INTO THE CODE-SWITCH SYSTEM. THIS DEPLOYMENT MARKS A STRATEGIC INITIATION OF SYMBOLIC INTEGRATION THROUGH ACCESSIBLE AND UNIVERSAL DESIGN SYSTEMS.
