IN MY QUEST TO COMMUNICATE A RANGE OF DISCIPLINES UNDER ONE UMBRELLA, I’VE TAKEN INSPIRATION FROM HOW SCIENTISTS PRESENT FINDINGS—A STRUCTURED AND VALID APPROACH. HOWEVER, THIS METHOD LACKS THE CULTURAL AND NARRATIVE DIMENSIONS I SEEK.

MUSEUMS OFFER A RICHER PARALLEL. THEY HOUSE A DIVERSE ARRAY OF ARTEFACTS FROM DIFFERENT ERAS AND DISCIPLINES, YET THEY PRESENT THEM COHESIVELY. THEIR ORGANISATION ALLOWS VISITORS TO NAVIGATE COMPLEXITY WITHOUT LOSING SENSE OF THE WHOLE.
